I'm BACK!!

First of all HI!
Returned from Bangalore on the 28th of march-the day of my results.
I must say that I've done quite well-96% overall.But last year I had scored more :( !!

The Bangalore trip wasn't very interesting -except for that I bought some books-at very cheap rates.I liked two books-Kim and Stalky and Co. ,both by Rudyard Kipling.Superb ,they were!!
I played lots of computer games.

My state level quiz was on the 6th of march.Came 4th,:(...............But our exams began on the 7th..and so I couldn't prepare anything at all.However it was a great learning experience for me!

My new academic session begins on the first of April-I'm in 10th standard now.Busy schedule ahead!!

The week that was..

The last week was a memorable one for me.........

There was a taluka level interschool quiz competition.My friend X and I participated in the quiz.

We were told about the quiz a just a day before and had very less time for preparations.The quiz was on PLANET EARTH.Eventhough the school is just a 5 minute walk from my house,X and I reached there about an hour early.We stood there talking and laughing while others pored over their books.X got a little nervous but I told him that great ones stand apart from the rest!!!

There were 17 schools in all.

First round- a written round comprising of19  easy questions.We knew that we would atleast get into the oral round. And we sure did.

In the oral round-there were 8 teams shortlisted.We broke records of all sorts as we bagged109 points of a possible104!!(actually we got 5 bonus points).All our answers were correct-we won the competition with a 25 point lead over the runners up!! But I've to admit that the standard of the questions asked was  average.But,some teams couldn't even answer  simple questions like which is an universal solvent- eventhough options were provided!!

We are selected for the state level quiz competition.AndI hope we shall win that too!!!
